College of Arts and Media

The College of Arts and Media is a dynamic place of learning supported by performance centers and advanced technologies. We inspire a love of learning and life through a creative lens, with cutting-edge programs in art and design, broadcasting and cinematic arts, and communication.

Gifts to the College of Arts and Media enable our talented faculty to prepare students for future careers in our showcase programs, and help students expand their skills and maximize their talents through hands-on-experiences such as internships, field experiences, conference presentations and performances.

Your support is an investment in the Innovators, Movers, Shakers, Performers and Makers on our campus. Help them hone their skills and launch their success stories.

Here are featured funds that could use your help:

Marching Band Program Fund

Gifts to this fund will be used for support and operations of the CMU Marching Chippewas and help provide opportunities for the band to travel to away games, purchase new equipment and technology, and general expenses related to annual operations.

Allen and Hinck Presentation Skills Center Endowment

This endowment supports the operating costs of CMU's Presentation Skills Center (PSC). The PSC offers technology resources and expert instruction to help students, faculty, and staff develop and refine essential presentation skills. Through in-person and online consultations, the PSC supports undergraduate and graduate students with a wide range of communication needs, including public speaking, debates, group presentations, sales pitches, and interviews. The PSC was recently awarded certification by the National Association of Communication Centers, one of only two in the state of Michigan.

George and Eva May Campbell Educational Equipment Fund

Established in 2006 by Kevin and Elizabeth Campbell in honor of Kevin's parents, George, and Eva May, income from the endowment will be used to support the purchase, rental, or repair of educational equipment for Media Arts.

College of the Arts and Media General Fund

Enables the College to provide support for exceptional learning experiences for students, including student support, academic and center program enhancements, experiential learning, and professional development opportunities. This fund provides the flexibility to support students in all academic areas of the college.
