GivingTuesday is the global generosity movement that celebrates the power of giving and doing good. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving every year and is a great opportunity for our CMU community to Fire Up together. On November 30, we encourage you to help make an impact and show CMU students that #CMUGivesBack.

Yes! Use your social media channels, send emails and text messages, or make calls to help create awareness about this event. The easiest way to get involved and track your impact is to become a CMU Ambassador. View the Ambassadors section on this website to learn more.

Yes. Please see the Final Steps section on the Donate page to make your gift in honor or in memoriam of a person or organization.

Yes! Please share your custom Ambassador link through your social media channels. By sharing your custom link, you can track how many donors have made gifts because of your willingness to share the news of GivingTuesday.

Yes, the minimum gift amount for online gifts is $5.

Yes, your gift can be made anonymous. In the Final Steps section on the Donate page, simply choose which setting under Donor Wall Settings fits best for you.

Yes, your gift is tax deductible. You will be mailed a receipt that can be used for tax purposes. Please note for gifts to Athletics, you will be mailed tax information in January.

In the Department or Program dropdown box, scroll down until you get to the Additional Areas of Support section. Under the section, you can click "Other," and from there, you can type in the name of the CMU fund you would like to give to. Our giving team will make sure your contribution gets counted.
