Help us alleviate the challenges of food insecurity that many CMU students face.
Approximately 40% of CMU students experience food insecurity. Contributions to this fund help the well-being and support the academic success of CMU students. The Student Food Pantry had 7,604 visits in the past fiscal year, and this year projects an increase of 33%.
The Student Food Pantry aims to ensure hunger is not a barrier to academic success or well-being for any student at Central Michigan University. It helps students stay focused and well-fed with distributions of free food. Learn more about the availability and reasons for the food pantry below and support students this GivingTuesday.
The Student Food Pantry is open to any currently enrolled CMU student in need of supplemental food assistance. The Student Food Pantry is located near the old North Campus Testing Center under the Robinson Residential Restaurant.
Along with the Food Pantry, in 2020, the Care Pantry was started with supplemental hygiene, cleaning, cooking, and school supplies. This pantry has been growing to help fit students’ needs with products other than food. The distributions follow the same format as the Food Pantry so students can pick up any food and non-food items they are in need of. It is also located near the old North Campus Testing Center under the Robinson Residential Restaurant.
Food for the pantry includes meat, produce, bread, and dairy products. Every dollar donated makes a significant impact. Thank you!
